After receiving his first professional camera at the age of 13 and later completing several internships with various photographers, Florian Kaposi began working in the art department of the public broadcaster SWR in 2001. He produced his first own designs for student films at the Ludwigsburg Film Academy.

In 2008, he became a master student of Matthias Kammermeier and continued to collaborate with him on several films over the next three years.

After working on several short films and a large number of commercials between 2002 and 2011, Florian became the production designer for his first feature film, LOST PLACE 3D.

Florian lives in Berlin and has worked as a production designer on over 20 feature films. His in-depth knowledge of studio setup and VFX work makes him an expert for technically demanding projects. His biggest project to date was the international co-production IRON SKY - THE COMING RACE, which was filmed on 12 sound stages in Belgium.
